GRI expands sustainability reporting opportunities in Vietnam

New Vietnamese translations of the GRI Standards to unlock transparency, resilience and market access
The latest versions of the GRI Standards are now available in Vietnamese, enabling organizations across the country to report their impacts in line with global best practice.
The Standards were first made available in Vietnamese in 2017. Now, translations of the full suite – including the revised GRI Universal Standards, new Topic Standards for Biodiversity, Climate Change and Energy, and all GRI Sector Standards – have published.
The update will help companies in Vietnam to identify, manage and disclose their most significant impacts on the economy, environment and people, through full access to the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting standards.
GRI’s engagement programs in Vietnam are supporting organizations, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, through training, technical guidance and knowledge-sharing. Together with the new Vietnamese translations, organizations are being helped to assess sector-specific impacts, strengthen value chain resilience, and respond to disclosure expectations from international markets and providers of sustainable finance.
Sustainability considerations are increasingly shaping investment choices and business decisions, and long-term competitiveness. In Vietnam, we see that translating into growing expectations from investors, lenders and business partners for globally comparable information on an organization’s impacts. It’s very significant, therefore, that companies and stakeholders in the country can access all of the latest GRI Standards in Vietnamese.
